Yep... the Blizzard of '05 has hit the city of Lowell, Massachusetts, and needless to say, my car is totally buried in snow! There's at least a foot and a half, possibly 2 feet of snow out there already, and near-whiteout conditions with heavy winds. and we're not even halfway through the night yet...

I am watching it from my upstairs bedroom window as I write this... I should get a shot of my buried car from my window, it's sitting out front...

Oh, how I'm going to love the shovelling in the morning...

Let us hope the power holds up through the night and the rest of the storm........

Edit: Here's a supplemental piece for you to read that also happened: <a href='

Snow? All we've had is gales and freezing temperatures.

Strange, there was a full day of snow here as well, after weeks of inactivity. We lost power for about two hours too. And in the norm of this topic so far, a song by me...

I simply must go - babby, it's cold outside
The answer is no - Ooh babby, it's cold outside
This welcome has been - I'm lucky that you dropped in
So nice and warm -- Look out the window at that storm
...
Well maybe just a half a drink more - Never such a blizzard before
I've got to go home - Oh, babby, you'll freeze out there
Say, lend me your comb - It's up to your knees out there
...
Ahh, but it's cold outside
babby it's cold outside

We had between a half-foot and foot of snow here over Friday night, which was a downer because it prevented me from travelling this weekend. On the other hand, I do like snow.

At any rate, glad you survived it. I can't remember a time when I encountered such a storm as that.

We got 11 inches. Not as much as some of you others, but 11 inches is a pretty big storm for us.
