Anyhoo, here's mine...

It's Teen Millie (from Dave's LJ) done up as Eris, Goddess of chaos, discord and mayhem...

Take a good look, it's one of the few times you'll see her voluntarily wear a dress!

Ooh, nice, I like that! Goddess of chaos, discord and mayhem, so appropriate for Millie. <img src='

I'm not so keen on that pic myself, not because it's not skilled (which I do think it is), but because I'm unaccustomed to the style. Maybe if I see more of your work your style will grow on me? So, my view of it is 'interesting, certainly not bad, but I'm not so keen on it myself'.

[Edit - Just read the post and thought I needed to clarify. I do think that the picture is skilled]

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. My influences are: 1) animation in general- this comes from an entire childhood of watching Disney movies (and other such animated features), and 2) Japanese anime- which is somewhat apparent in my art style. I also enjoy comic strips and personally think that O and M is at least a hundred times better than some stuff that they have in the newspapers.

I mean, how many other comics out there give you furries, AND politcal commentary?

There was Pogo. Completely furry and all the left-wing Ozy and Millie style politics you can want; good, interesting and sophisticated characters and VERY nice artwork (the artist - Walt Kelly - was a Disney animator for Bambi and Fantasia after all). Will i ever stop ranting about Pogo (and Peanuts)? No, of course not.

The best syndicated comic now, personally, is Mutts. Which has furries, in a Herriman style, realisticly drawn way.

my current favorite newspaper comics are:

The Boondocks (non-furry, but has politcal commontary)
Fox Trot (non-furry)
Get Fuzzy (has furries!...sort of)

and than there is just the classic stuff that never gets old

Peanuts

Garfield
