...one thing I don't understand... and I mean absolutely no offence, I am just not learned in this. I am not critisising you. especially since you guys outnumber me like a zillion to one. But...

...how is sonic not so much of a guilty pleasure for you? I mean here you guys just talk about him like he's as common as a sandwich or something... I mean, isn't that a bit... immature? ...okay, so this isn't the best question coming from someone who repeatedly repeats lines from AYB or slices people in half on the thingy thread or plays calvinball. But I still can't help but wonder, like isn't that a kids thing or something? I mean, I know it's okay to be immature and crazy here, and beleive me, I'm using that; but I never imagined such... fandom.

And yeah, hdofu, I saw that one, and I think it was the best line so far.

Why is it imarture at all? I see a combination of descusion about a story and nastalgia here. Neither are immature. I don't know enough about the story to coment on it's literary merits but stories arn't immature unless they're immature sotires. From waht I know sonic (which is nothing) is not an imature story. So it's animals. There are plety of anthapormorphic sotires out there. Ozy and Millie is an example and I know Ozy and Millie isn't imature. As far as nalstalga go that's not imarture either.

Despite my tone I did not take ofence I just happen to completly disagree.

Hm. I'm just a Sonic fan. I've never given much thought to what targeted audience it has. It doesn't bother me, because what shame should I have for it?

That, and you must take it into consideration that there are very few videogames out there that are specifically targeted towards children.

I meant the shows. not the video games. the video games I know what age group are for: anyone.

I don't know enough about this... how you say.... sonic |AM| or what it's called to say anything about it... According to you guys it sounds pretty good...

I'm talking about one of the other shows... don't remember it too well... It's not the one they're showing now (although that goes in the same catagory)

Ah, I see. Well, yes it is a kid's show. And perhaps I am bit over the targeted audience, but I just don't care. I'm a fan, that's how it is. Besides, cartoons rock. If you enjoy them, then that should be celebrated. There are very few kid's cartoons out there that suck. I love Tiny Toon reruns.

Pretty soon life's gonna be all serious and crap and then I'll be sad. I'm enjoying it while I can.

Besides that, who cares if it's immature? Cartoons are tough to make, requiring months of effort, and I appreciate their value, especially when the end result is something as high quality as Sonic SatAM. You gotta learn to enjoy stuff like this for what it is, man.

I never saw SatAM, so you're just lucky. And aren't I being immature enough on these boards already? but, I guess only seeing the butchered/kiddie episodes kinda gave me a bad impression... the game rox tho. talking about it is making me want to play it. The only thing wrong with my genesis is you can't touch it or it'll restart...

I used to love the kiddie show with just Sonic and Tails.

This is likely because I was about 5 or 6 and addicted to Sonic.

<SteveThePocket> Geez. I want more of this stuff now. Now I know how a horny guy on an imageboard feels.

While watching Sonic X a few days ago, I realized there are Scratch and Grounder there in spirit! The two robots that robotnik picks on the most! They aren't anywhere near the appearance of the two original, but the spirit is about the same, had they had about twice the brain power. I know their idiocy was their strong point, but it works when the robots are smart enough to know the plans will somehow have a fundamental flaw that will lead to certain failure, then go for it anyway.
