dude he wasn't saying you specificall wanted to be nominated member of the year. he was saying that the first thing you said when you started posting today, was a complaint about the fact that you were not nominated for anything. he randomly chose a category, which it does not matter which one because it was for theoretical purposes only so don't get upset if it's the wrong one, and used it for an example because it sounds better in conversation to use examples than to have to repeat long strings of words over and over again.

I am with you 96.23%! My favorite is blueberry which hearkens back to my childhood in the great country of New Jersey where I would often (? once in memory) pick blueberries for eatenings.

My least favorite flavor is Muffinsticks because he won't let me cannibalize him. Just not a team player.

That's all this place is now, is a clique.

If a majority of DC is some massive clique, then I entirely fail to see it. I would appreciate it if you would compile a list of cliques and their members, because as it is, you're making vague accusations without even the slightest pretense of evidence.

like others have said, the only way to be considered a likeable member of the community is to act like everything's cool, and not like everyone hates you positive attitude is the key

I tried that once too, and guess what happened. Nobody gave a crap.

I acted like everything was cool and casually talked more and more here and in the IRC, and suddenly, voila, recognition and conversation; not particularly difficult to get along with people here unless you're a douchebag of astronomical proportions.

I talk to Dos and Nick on a daily basis, and just about anyone in the IRC (which I would do so much more often if I had the time) is quite friendly to me. To top it all off, my greatest life accomplishment: making friends with Ibun (or, at least I thought I did that :<).

But as you'll notice, it's the same people that get nominated every year...

Uhm, I came back to DC halfway through last year or so. I was, as Dos noted, quite a generic, boring member before my absence, so the only reason I have been nominated for any awards is my recent presence, which amounts to less than a whole year. Clearly, the same people are not nominated for the awards every year, so I fail to see your point.

If your argument is that the same people are nominated for awards every year along with new people, then I fail to see the issue. If members of the community are consistently interesting, why should they be excluded from the awards process? That would be absolutely ridiculous.


Please leave DC. Your persistent whining serves only to incense the forum into useless bickering, in which I hope you've noticed that you have no support to speak of. I would sincerely ask you to change and stay, but judging from what little I can recall of you, what I have heard about you, and your 'contributions' in this topic, you are most likely not even aware that you are doing anything obscene and obnoxious by stating your horrendously thought-out points.

Stop asking to be banned; stop visiting DC; move on with your life.
