I'd love to have a huge bank of monitors in a ring around my chair, simply because of how evil genius that would look. Impractical, yes, but still awesome.

To improve on that last part, make two or three hing out on a single arm for ease of entrance and exit.

No, no, no. What you do is, you make a big MEHTUL polygonal ring, construct an arm for it hang from that mounts to the wall and hinges like an adjustable standing lamp (think Luxo Jr.), remove the monitors' bases and mounts, and then attach those to the interior sides of the ring.

Oh, and while you're at it, you may as well get touch-screen displays instead of conventional monitors, because a mouse is going to be completely impractical at this point.
