How's this for kind of strange: the other night, I had a dream where about 5 of my teeth fell out. That's not the weird part. The weird part is that about 2 weeks ago, I had another dream where I got hit in the face in the exact spot where the teeth fell out in the recent dream. I dreamt I got hit in the face, and 2 weeks later I dream I lose the teeth in that exact spot. That's gotta mean something.

I think the thing to do is to set the clock to wake you up at 3AM, and then go back to sleep.

Oooo, boy, this ought to be entertaining. Just to give you an idea of how I experience these, I dream in the third person. I have no idea why.

DREAM THE FIRST
Okay, so I'm in this supermarket, right? And I'm walking around, and everything's cool, but then I see these alligators. Or maybe crocodiles. I don't really know. Anyway, so, they're not regular alligators, they're, like, high speed land alligators of death. So I'm sprinting through this market pursued by gators; sometimes I get out, other times I'm eaten. That's another weird bit, dying in dreams does happen to me. It's pretty funny.

DREAM THE SECOND
Okay, so I'm on this football field in the front passenger seat of an SUV. I dunno who's driving. I've never looked. So, anyway, we're driving around the field, in circles, and then I look up at the jumbotron thing and there's this guy fishing off the edge. Whenever I have this dream I say out loud, to the conscious world, in my sleep, every single time, without fail, "If you look to the right of the screen, there's a fisherman." Dream ends.

DREAM THE THIRD
I'm on top of a parking garage. I run over the edge. I go splat. Dream ends. I honestly can't even begin to figure out this one. It's not even stupid enough to be all that funny.

If dreams are the brain exercising, then mine are the equivalent of working out by running into a wall fifty or sixty times. Awful.

i think the majority dreams in third person. My dreams always fluctuate b/w third and first, like a video game. If it's a lucid dream I can switch at will.

Hey, midnight, try this:
1) set your alarm to go off at 3AM
2) focus on the second dream before going to sleep
3) wake up, go back to sleep. this should transform it into a lucid dream.
4) look at the driver. get out of the car. do stuff!
5) remember what happened.

My dream last night: I had a dream where I had a dream about... darn, I remembered 5 minutes ago. anyway, I woke up from that dream and it was 3AM, and I was in my room, and these guys, they were like door to door solicitors selling pranks. I tell them to go away, and then they find out that the door is unlocked. then, instead of the two solicitor dudes, Mom and Grandma come in the room and ask why I'm still awake. I'm in the middle of explaining it to them...
...and then I woke up.

It's weird how there's so much stuff in your dreams that you just can't describe in words.

I often dream in black and white, and just the object I am focused on, or objects that I 'remember' the colour of from my life will be coloured in the dream.

And about lucid dreaming, it's very difficult for some people even if they 'try' to by following tips on the subject, not that I have, but I haven't had one either.

The brain has a good ability to prevent you from realising that you are dreaming, now matter how freaky and implausible the dream gets, it all seems completely normal, which to me is one of the most interesting aspects anyway =)

I dunno about that. I have had the thought "This is incredibly stupid" during the alligator dream. The football field one seems normal, though. You're right about that one.

from what i can remember from the last time i dreamt, i don't actually hear in my dream. the only recallation i have from a recent noise what one of my two dreams which were very similar. in the end, i was asked what i wanted, and i said i wanted to have sight. my eyes opened. first time, i was given a wish and said what i wanted, the other time i had completed the same quest three different times in three different ways and was asked what i wanted in return.

The only lucid dream I recall happened a long time ago, and I really don't remember much other than it was a nightmare, and I realized it was a dream and said that if this is a nightmare, then I'm waking up, and so I did.

My lucid dream with the peanut butter pine trees was a nightmare until it "went into lucid mode" and I was in control.

I actually never remember having a serious nightmare that woke me up, although I once had a dream where I was taken to Hell and I was tied to a crucifix and suspended by a rope about 10 feet over a shallow pool of water, and the devil was there and said unless I could escape the crucifix in 5 minutes, he'd cut the rope and I'd helplessly drown in the water since I'd fall face-down. I forget how the rest of the dream went. Weird.

::bump::

So I had a weird dream last night. I forget most of it, it was in my kitchen, and I remember at one point, I was making a cheese steak sandwich, and next thing I know, the cheese steak sandwich was in the coffee pot! Then the coffee pot got turned on and so now there's a clear coffee pot with a cheese steak sandwich kinda sinking at the bottom of all the coffee. I think I tried to get the sandwich out to eat it, but then I must have woken up. I checked the coffee pot upon waking and it was devoid of any cheese steaks, but I did promptly turn it on and have some coffee. A cheese steak in a coffee pot. Weird.
