Indeed. It's an awesome pic, and perfectly appropriate. The old characters are far superior to these "Loonatics" or whatever they're called.
Just so You'll know where I saw it: That image was posted at the Bigfurs.com forum by Woulfe, crediting "a fan of the classic cartoons" and "then colored by another classic cartoon fan."

In between this and GI Joe's Sigma Six line, people seem to like taking popular things that are fine the way they are and turn them into crappy remakes. It's just so sad.

Indeed. They like making crappy remakes because it's easier than trying to think of anything original.

"This is both good and original. Unfortunately, what's good isn't original and what's original isn't good."
Well, WB is probably going to at least go ahead with the first episode anyway, seeing how they've already done the damage of public hype. But that should be as far as it ever goes (in theory, and in hope).
I hope it dies out just as quickly as that live-action "The Tick" remake.

But if those little kids start LIKING that show..... I just might begin to hate children.

The Tellytubbies will be evil mutant communist commandos who each shoot different rays from their head ornaments and Strawberry Shortcake shall be their enemy, the star of the show. She is now a sassy Carmen Sandiego like mysterious and fascinating adventurer for the forces of good. Watch out for guest appearances by the mad brainwashing cult of the Brotherhood of Care Bears.
