Roman candles are actually several fireworks in a tube. The tube, when lit, shoots out color changing sparkers that fire colored sparks everywhere in kind of a spiral pattern. About 5 or 6 sparklers are in each tube. A new sparkler shoots out about every 10 seconds, so a roman candle lasts about a minute. A roman candle fight is basically two pyros firing the sparkers at each other and dodging them at the last second (if they're lucky). The one I witnessed was between two very exprerienced pyros, so no one was hurt. It was actually between my friend Tony (from the <a href='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... st&p=16395' target='_blank'>napalm story</a>), and his brother. Heh, I'm not really a pyro, but I'm friends with a lot of pyros. Does that make me pyro by association?

oooh... it sounds shiny... ...but doesn't that hurt? if you get hit I mean?

Yes, it would hurt. That's why you dodge them. During the fight, you stay about 50 feet from your opponent. They fire pretty fast, but at that distance you should be able to dodge them if your reflexes are pretty good.

the posibilities boggle the mind... ...remember, a group of friends with no training and some improvised but no real weapons are always stronger than armed guards as long as said guards work for an evil empire. ...It was a joke, okay?
