Yeah... if that guy's just now freaking out about furries, then he needs to lurk more. rly. They're not that bad.
Typical God, passing the buck...God loves you so much that He let His only Son, Jesus, die on the cross to pay the penalty for your sinful nature
Reverend John Piper says that the universe is supposed to be an understatement for the greatness of God, not the significance of earthlings.2 - Explain why God, this immensly powerful, all knowing all seeing NON-specific deity, created the ENTIRE universe just for little us?
1 - This is where I prove myself to be something of a liberal Catholic. I've never dismissed the theory of evolution even though the church has told me I should. There are a lot of views I don't share with my faith instituion because I take the time to look into my heart and decide what I truely believe; not blindly follow anything the Church says. People seem to think they have a direct line to God or something, which obviously they don't. Anyway, more to the point, I think people get hung up too much on the fact that humans were created in God's image. In my mind, image doesn't have to mean physical image and how we look (all that jazz). It can be more of how we reason or act or even things in a metaphysical sense. The fact is no one really knows and we're not meant to fully while we're on this earth. Therefore, I personally I feel that evolution could have been a part of God's great plan for us. It doesn't have to be an argument against him, but can be an example of how he allowed us to come into being. I don't rely on the whole Adam and Eve theory because I don't believe the point of the story is if it's true or not. Maybe it is, maybe it's not. What's REALLY important is what we take away from it.To this part I just say three things.
1 - Explain the dinosaurs.
2 - Explain why God, this immensly powerful, all knowing all seeing NON-specific deity, created the ENTIRE universe just for little us? Seems like someone somewhere is getting bigheaded.
3 - Explain other religions, namely Hinduism, which outdates almost all other major religions, and whose records date back as far as I can piss.
The sly bastard. In that case, didn't God create deadly nightshade, just for you to kill yourself with?According to a lazy person's (me) definition of creationism, wouldn't god have created marijuana? And for a purpose presumably. Therefore, god wants you to light up.

That's not what the Catholic Church says nowadays.I've never dismissed the theory of evolution even though the church has told me I should.
Yea they can never decided.....I don't want to start a flame war. And I really don't care what religion you choose, just so long as you don't try to push it on me. But since we are on the topic the way it seems to >>ME<< (and this is my own view so don't get all worked about about it, also I am aware that I am being hypocritical by pushing my view point) is that everything they can't explain and the bible offers some explanation the bible is correct. But as soon as there is enough evidence that people quit believing the bible the church just says "FINE, I guess we were wrong and there is a logical explanation". Why can't people just be comfortable not knowing an explanation for everything? Sometimes it is that not knowing is what drives you to search for new answers. That's not what the Catholic Church says nowadays.I've never dismissed the theory of evolution even though the church has told me I should.
No, he created deadly nightshade so Tim Burton could make a reference to it in "The Nightmare Before Christmas."In that case, didn't God create deadly nightshade, just for you to kill yourself with?According to a lazy person's (me) definition of creationism, wouldn't god have created marijuana? And for a purpose presumably. Therefore, god wants you to light up.
You owe me a coke. And a new keyboard. We may as well have built a bloody great big space laser...at least then we could've killed Osama cuz everyone knows he's on the moon.
