reading this thread just makes me want Spore even more.
what are the real advantages/disadvantages of the two versions? is it worth it for the $30 extra dollars?

You just get a documentary, a making of, a handbook, strategy guide, and an art book. To me I think its worth it but I got the normal version because I didn't want to spend that much X_X

oh, that's cool. The way they're titled (the more expensive one's called galaxy edition or something) made me assume that the cheaper one wasn't fully integrated into the online server, which is the main part of the game that's so fun.
