Modern animation are often plagued with the idea that cartoons are for kids.
Someone should hit them with a picture of Betty Boop.

May I submit Ghost in the Shell and Akira for consideration? Definitely not kid stuff.
And I watched a lot of the stuff that was listed. And I do remember Beakman's World! That show was awesome! I learned!
I just remembered that I have an official Beakman's World microscope. Do I betray my nerdliness?
I'm going to have to look some of this stuff up again and *cough* acquire it. (Even if it costs money)

Ill have to admit...there are a few modern cartoons I sometimes watch. And they are definitely not kids stuff.

I really get a kick out of Family guy and American dad.
Some of the adult swim stuff is ok too...but not all of it.

I hope i don't sack my credibility here for saying this...but i feel i must be honest. I have found myself watching some of those new Disney toons like The Buzz on Maggie and That brandy/whiskers show. Now i know these shows are aimed at the girls...but the comedy level in both shows is kinda good. Does this make me any less of a guy for watching it? eh...i don't care...the shows are funny and well made.

if only they could all be like that.
