If we do, it'll have to be after I move out of rez. Being unable to log on sucks.

Sheesh they require either a mobile phone or credit card number, even for the basic account. Don't they realise there are paranoid people like me out there?

Credit card number is for age verification, mostly. They won't charge you unless you initiate something that costs money, ie currency exchange or land ownership.

I don't think you understand, even if they never use it I'm not comfortable putting it in there, at all. I'd be more comfortable with putting my mobile phone number if I had a mobile phone. I don't, since they're almost as annoying, intrusive and irritating as, um...websites who ask you for your credit card number for a measly basic account.

well you see, they need it to make sure you're old enough to look at the naughty pictures.

Since they don't apparently charge you so long as you stay in boundaries of what the basic system is for, what's to stop junior taking a peek at daddy's card number so as to enter the game?

Juniour's planning to use daddy's card for secret personal pursuits and he goes and asks him where it is. Junior's not very bright.

Junior manages to find daddy's card without drawing attention to it. Junior uses it to sign up for SL. Junior sees an advertisement for for a shiney, and uses the card to buy it. Junior just committed two counts of fraud.

I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.
