I looked up "Bye Bye Butterfree" thinking it was a British animated show or something, and something bad happened to Mr. or Mrs. Butterfree in the episode. Needless to say, I was surprised at what I found. Then I shook my head facepalmed.

Hey, don't give us that look. It was a very dramatic and traumatic episode for us! Never mind the fact that we were all like 10 when watching it for the first time.

Nerds.
If Bye Bye Butterfree doesn't move you at all then you clearly have no soul.
If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place. (Revelation 2:5, NIV)

But I cried at Jurassic Bark! Doesn't that mean anything?

There was an even more emotional episode recently. Jessie let her Dustox go, so it could go off and be with its boyfriend off in Dustox Land or something, and it really didn't want to go, so Jessie actually crushed its pokeball which has never happened before omg. And like everyone cried,

WTF is a Dustox? And when did she get rid of her Ekans (which later evolved into an Arbok)?

Some of us grew up with "Grandpa" and "When the wind blows".

Get over it.

A big moth... thing.
She released it (and James released Weezing), long story

When the Wind Blows was basically what I was picturing when I read "Bye bye Butterfree" Except with less radiation.

How about when Bulbasaur didn't want to evolve and the Venusaur was vine whipping it :(

I'm proud to say I've never watched an episode of Pokemon. And I don't intend to.

You know what was awesome? That summer I spent in a drunken haze watching Digimon every morning at 7am on Fox Kids. That was one thithery show, dear god. The dude with the lighter cracked me up.

Quite an unusual thing to be proud of.

Quite an unusual thing to be proud of.
There are worse things to be proud of when Pokemon is concerned. Much worse.
