So my school thinks I'm nuts.

I'd agree with everyone else, they're just freaked out over Virginia Tech, they probably will be for the rest of the school year, especially with stupid copycats popping up everywhere making life more difficult for everyone because they're too f-ing lazy to study for an exam, write a book report/term paper or whatever. So instead they just sscribble some crap about Virginia Tech, and suddenly the whole school has a day's worth of classes cancelled, and increased security for weeks on end. One summer will solve all this, and come September, this will [mostly] be a distant memory.

They've been instructed and taught to look out for various things in children so just go along with it 'til they see there's nothing wrong with you I guess.

Another story: Someone just got their gameboy taken because it's supposedly a bomb.

Maybe a Wario game. But honestly, there must be more to the story than that. Handheld game consoles are too common to be presumed bombs without further evidence.

Sounds to me like one of the faculty's children (or maybe not even the child) wanted a Game Boy.

Don't worry, at least you weren't moved to a "special" school for drug addicts and "problem" children because you made a Counter-Strike level of your school so closely after a school shooting that has been shown to not have involved video games in no way whatsoever.

My best advice, as someone who was also seen as weird, is to just ride it out. Honestly, when you get to college you'll find all manner of "weird" folks that will make your unique qualities seem somewhat normal.

Before I came to Leeds, I'd never met a fire-spinner, never met anyone with 35 peircings, never met anyone that collected spiders, never met anyone who was in Medicin San Frontier.

After high school, just watch as most of the people who mock you or think you're weird end up serving you at the local filling station or behind the counter at Tesco or Wallmart or whatever supermarkets you dudes have.

My biggest "bully" at high school now delivers newspapers and lives off of a fake disability. He has few friends, a massive drug problem, and lives in a squat. I'm not the sort of person to find humour in other's downfalls, but TAKE THAT WEAVER YOU THICK SHIT! THAT IS FOR EVERY TIME YOU CALLED ME A "FAT DOZY PRICK!!!!"

*takes deep breath*

Honestly dude, it all gets better.

I agree with Roo here. I remember this one girl who always picked on me when I was in Elementary school, and everyone always laughed and all that, but now, she never passed Gr. 10, she has a kid (she doesn't know who the father is- she slept with 4 guys that night), and some dead-end job. Besides, as the other kids matured, they stopped teasing me for not doing all the things that were popular at the time and accepted me for who I am. Now I'm pretty much friends with everyone in my school, and the people I do dislike and who dislike me are universally regarded as the school douchebags.

You just got to wait it out, pretty soon, people will either stop following trends and engaging in their sad little cliques, or their attitudes will screw them.

That's incredibly true. Karma will bite the asses of all those douchebag classmates in the end. It's fun to watch when that happens. :)

Hmm, at my school it's the bullies who mature faster (out of bullying) and get a grip on their life before they've left highschool and the ones who weren't bullies are the ones who rely on the system a tad too much.

And sometimes they become douchebag adults of moderate or more success.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.

I don't think people ever grow out of being part of cliques or specialist groups. They just find new ones.

Hehe... I used to get teased a lot, but now I'm friends with practically the entire school. The only person who still tries the mocking thing is hated by the entire place, and also got beat up last year...

Just goes to show...
I'm here, you just can't see me!
