Let's make a religion!

A place to talk about anything (that doesn't belong in the other forums).

You dont know it but all of us are gods already. The computers are becoming a world all onto their own. It has it's own reality comp;lete with it's own topology and physics to it. And both are diferent then the onw we're used to. We are all gods in the crafting of this world. Some of us take an active part and others of us are mearly observers but if you are reading this you do take a part. As of now we are the only creaturs to grace the surface of this world and we have lost complete controll over it. Some of waht has been done cannot be undone. There will be other creatures, which we create, existing in this world. They will probably only be confined to it. We will be thori gods. There might even be entire eco sytems existing in varuois parts of this world. The only way the inhabitants will know of our wolrd is if we tell them, like it is for us. We all have already unwitingy started the creation of a religion; we are making an earth for our heaven and we are doing it by acident!

Bah. Norsenerd, that notion is not new to the world, since we all already rule over the stories we write. Granted, some of us like to be more limited in our control of our fiction than others, but if any author chose, he/she/it/they/whatever could send he/she/it/they/whatever's own fictional characters into oblivion. Such control over one's own imaginary characters existed before computers, before typewriters, and possibly before writing itself.

As for this whole new religion thing, I would not put any credence to the random musings of O&M fans just because it sounds funny. I take it too seriously for that.

I agree. I think I had this point erlier in a nother thread to you but coputers and the internet are beign formed into a world itself. That point still stands weather it's a new idea or an old idea in a new medium.

One of the gods should be a cow-monkey to represent and rule all the cold things!

I'd say grab the knife and fork, then run and hide with the cake.

i think "the lake of eternal cake" or whatever it is, is supposed to be their rendition of hell, like a "lake of eternal fire" for some.. obviously no-one here, except our one resident hydromaniac!

Oh, my pie would be a Pizza pie! ROCK ON NINJA DUDES! TURTLE POWER! ... ok, maybe the effects of 2:00 am are setting in early tonight!
