Yea, even better than Jazz Jackrabbit. I have to say that Jazz had much better graphics.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.
Math is NEVER overrated. Math is the key to upholding the modern world.
It takes language to build a society, but math and science to build a world.

heavy spoilers for getting like everything hidden in the game

Secret Weapons:
The Bubbler:

Once you need to get the Jellyfish Juice in Grasstown take a jar of it and put out the fire in the town hall of Mimiga Village. Look in the fireplace. The bubbler is pretty useful at level 3 but sucks otherwise.

The Spur:

This is the best weapon in the game and the game is pretty hard to get it. You simply don't trade it in for anything. NO machine gun. Then when you return to the deserted Mimiga village later on (with the booster 2.0 if you go for an ultra ending) go back to where you got the Polar Star and talk to the hermit. The spur can be charged and it is amazing. At level 1 it is like a level 3 Polar Star shot so it rocks.

Those are the only worthwhile weapons, but by getting the little man in the graveyard by looking around all over and giving him to the Little family on the outer wall you can trade the Sword for some weapon. You can also trade the Spur to the labyrinth weapon store dealer to get the Nemesis which gets weaker as you level it. At level 3 it shoots ducks. How deadly.

Getting the Ultra Ending:

The game is really really hard this way. Generally it's best to get the Spur becasue I imagine the bosses would be terrible with the machine gun. Anyways when leaving the labyrinth Prof. Booster falls from the air. Don't talk to him. Carefully jump across the platform to the next room with the boulder. Jump after the red mark on a block and don't hold in the jump button or you'll hit your head.

When you get to the core and into a giant room, don't talk to Curly, instead go to the lower right corner and get the Tow Rope from the sparkles. Then beat the core (who is much harder without the machine gun or booster, drowning can be a problem now). When you drown use the Tow Rope on Curly and leave.

In the waterway passage go through it as normal, GET INTO THE CABIN. Sleep in the bed, look at the computer and bookshelf, pump the water out of Curly. Take her with you. If you do this right Curly floats away AFTER the fish boss Ironhead.

On the outer wall you can now open the chest to get the timer in the clock room.

When you reach the plantation find Chtulu towards the lower right. Talk with him and Curly a few times until the mention a special mushroom. Use the teleporter room to go to Arthur's house and go back to the graveyard. Using the booster 2.0 fly into the door in the upper right and talk to the mushroom. Eventually he gives you the Mushroom badge. Look at it in your inventory to find out it's useless. Talk to him again and fight him. Then use the mushroom on Curly back at the Plantation. Her memory will recover. Proceed through the game as normal. If you've gotten to the Final Cave before you'll be in for a surprise as you go through the much much much much harder Hidden Cave. Upon leaving there you can fight Misery and the Doctor and such as usual. After defeating all of them and running as the island collapses on the board where Sue tells you not to get crushed run into the shed where you last saved. Save here. If you want to go back and get a normal ending look at the bookshelf. Otherwise proceed through the pit INTO HELL/BLOODY SACRED GROUNDS.

Hell is really really hard. The timer doesn't matter (although they say you can get something special if you pull it off in under 6 minutes ). You'll be fighting several bosses in a row and more of the plot is revealed. The ending you get isn't as good as the normal one if you ask me. The normal ending at least explains what happens to everybody.

Good luck.
Anami: Sex with a giant, black scorpion seems fun.
<SteveThePocket> Geez. I want more of this stuff now. Now I know how a horny guy on an imageboard feels.

For anyone wanting to use 32-bit stuff on Win 3.1 (or at least WFW 3.11, which I had for a long time running ICQ back since early 1998) there is an extension called WIN32S out there for running it at 32-bit. It comes with Freecell as a bonus. No wonder I got so hooked on it.
My reflexes aren't good enough to defeat that enraged thing.

I get killed pretty quick.
