I know that happiness is chemical, but I still like the romantic associations that go with it
The end is nigh!

the way I view it is being happy in an emotion which is just a chemical reaction in the brain.

happiness is being content with what you have and feeling complete inside....or if you rather not feeling empty or like you are missing something.
People place values in things. Different people place different values in different things. Yet, this aspect is lost on some.

There are a number of people who looks at today's market as the do-all and be-all of values. They see an object selling for $100, and they figure that it's worth is $100. They figure that it is worth as much as any other $100 object, and that the only value of it is the $100 it can be exchanged for.

Yet, this is not so. Happiness is a value system. How much something makes you happy determines how valuable it is to you. A $100 piece of junk isn't nearly as valuable as a $5 item that you like. While the monetary system is still necessary for the exchange of goods and services between seperate individuals, one cannot base an object's true worth on that system alone. The true value of something is different from person to person, because different people are enjoy different things.
Still mostly here.

Happiness a value system?
I en't too sure about that one.
I mean, you can hate something but still think it's of value to you, like school or something, school can suck but it's still valuable because of the future oppor-blah blah blah
