I think I have to agree with that there. My year went fairly well up to around mid-July, before everything simply came back to jump at me.

I am going to spare most people the details because things are finally starting to look up again, and I'd rather not dwell on last fall.

Well, let's see...

I discovered deviantART, started my own site there and got hooked on several awesome artists. (The famous Bigbluefox is on the list of people watching me, which I think is pretty cool.)

I spent another summer working as an interior painter at my old school. As manual labor jobs go, it wasn't that crappy, pay aside. I got to watch, step by step, the new addition get built (on the inside at least).

I finally signed up for Second Life and discovered that none of the computers at the school that I can install it on can run it, or run it very well at least.

Our cat died, and my parents got a new one before I realized there's a chance I'm allergic to them now. (Something is wreaking havoc on my sinuses whenever I go home.)

My online comic finally got itself a permanent location at podunku.net, and stands to be entered in a national contest. (Given that David Simpson entered Ozy and Millie in the same contest and only took fourth place, I'm not holding out much hope.)

After being told Dad would give me driving lessons, finally, next summer if I get a 3.8 or higher on my report card this semester, I managed to pull it off.

And (although I hadn't planned on saying this for fear of sounding showoffy), only months after first envying my fellow DA artists' graphics tablets, I casually requested one for Christmas and got it! I'm still very excited about that, and is enough to make me hope that 2006 will be a very good year as far as my status as a furry artist.
