it snowed for an inch and a half or so on monday, but then it quickly turned to slush. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://definecynical.mancubus.net/forum ... ns/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo--> dang global warming, I won't have a decent snow in the town I live in until I grow older and move up north.

they originally had called for 6-10 inches (and for the snow to start at sunrise) Monday into Tuesday, but instead it didn't start until about 1pm, and even then was mostly rain. The snow didn't start until about 6pm, so we only wound up with about 4 inches, most of which is already gone...

Psssh. Snow in Houston. I think, in my entire 20 year old life, it's only snowed twice here. Once in 1989, another, actually, just this past Christmas Eve. So yeah, that means it didn't snow for the ENTIRE 90's.<br><br>"You're so lucky! I hate snow is sux"<br>2 day of Houston summer heat will make you scream "GIVE ME A BLIZZARD!" Seriously, not only is it in the 90s, sometimes the 100s, but also it's usually very humid, add that all together and Phoenix, Arizona can't even compete.<br><br>Oh well, at least the winter is nice, it's usually in the 20s at the lowest, but it sometimes breaks the 10 degree barrier, on extremely rare occaisions. (This is Fahrenheit). But it's quite normal to have winter weather be in the 70s, or sometimes even the 80s.

Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Well said, Arloest. I was tempted to say something to that effect when I started reading this topic.
