try nl.acidchat.net <br><br>thats a bit better, and more reliable.

ya that did not work I also tried gamesurge too same result and I tried the Java version on this website with and without a proxy and it still would not connect.<br><br>I don't think it is a reliability issue I think it is a my school does not want use irc issue.

Yeah, but if they don't want irc usage, why go about stopping it in such an obscure way as opposed to simply blocking java applets?<br><br>And if you're blocking irc usage in such an obscure way, why start at a small network?

From what I've hear people at my school was using irc to download music and other files, which my school is strongly against. They prolly thought that it was starting up again so they blocked the irc severs. That in itself would not be hard to do at all.<br><br>Edit: I just got done confirming this the Java irc here bypasses my proxy.
