I Am An Assassin Of Wasps

Postby Rooster » Thu Nov 19, 2009 12:47 pm

I've just been repairing the roof to my parent's shed because the recent high winds over here in UKica have blown the waterproof lining open and ripped it in places. My job was to stuff black bin-liners under the lining to waterproof the places it's ripped, and then hammer it all down. But when I lifted the pieces I found something unexpected; three queen wasps (one German and two common yellowjackets) chilling out with their hibernation.

So I did what anyone else who's ever been stung by one would do, I smacked the shit out of them with my hammer until they were paste.

Goddamned wasps.

I salute you and your valiant efforts, good sir.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Thanks, that made my day. :D

BTW, my late aunt had a cat who, when he was a kitten, would chase down and kill spiders. And eat them afterward.

Yeah, cats are weird. My Nan's cat used to catch butterflies in her mouth and eat them.

I had a strange feeling that would happen, with my luck and lack of prior knowledge to it.

If you haven't seen it yet: 30 hornets vs 30000 bees. Wasps and hornets are nothing like bees, they're freaking EVIL and I have no love for them. My extreme fear of bees is probably more of a fear of wasps and hornets, but when I see a bee it just triggers the fear irrationally... except for those big fuzzy bees... they're friendly, and I often try to get them to land on my finger and pet them...

I've actually barely been stung by bees/wasps/the sort. And by "barely", I mean once. And by "once", I mean it was half dead, so it probably didn't hurt as much as it could have.

Scurry, scurry, Scurryous! You might just be the murriest. You certainly are the furriest! Hurry! Scurry! Scurryous!
