In that time period, dentures were commonly made out of teeth extracted from dead people. Especially, the dead on a battlefield.

Forbe's Insoluable Dry Plates I believe.
Back in the haha guy's heyday there was a large debate over what Forbes Insoluble Dry Plates actually were, since "dry plates" can refer to photographic equipment or to dentures. It turns out that in the case of the haha guy, it refers to photographic equipment. And I own the proof of it: an empty box of Forbes Insoluble Dry Plates. The labeling on the box makes it clear that they are for photography.
