When I went to Ayer's rock I thought I'd buy a mango biscuit but my friends told me that I really shouldn't risk it. "Biscuit mangoes, yes but mango biscuits, that's a con" but I set in my heels and set off to prove them wrong.
Et cetera... but what I thought were mango biscuits were nothing more than custard creams.

Odd British foods? ODD BRITISH FOODS!?!!!I'll have to add "digestive biscuit" to my list of odd British foods. It sounds like it means basically a cookie with little or no sugar in it, eaten like we'd eat Ritz crackers. I don't think such a thing exists in the States.
Sir, I put to you that as God made the Universe for the British, that it is in fact YOU with the odd foodstuffs.

Seriously though, digestives are NOTHING to the might of the custard cream!

I find it interesting how wildly the British and American cultures have diverged. For example, I'm reading an English to American dictionary right now.Odd British foods?
