Sum Poe-at-tree

During my religious hiatus, my English class and I were assigned a poetry project in which we were supposed to create a book containing 15 original poems. Well, that was the easy part. The fun was that you had to add five pictures to the book, drawn or not. Guess what? I drew mine, and I did an illustration for every single poem; 70% anthro.
All in all, I received a 110 on my project, and I do seem extremely pleased on my success. Anyway I decided to share my poems with you all. I decided not to show the sketches that the poems came with because I think that it would classify under my other thread "My Sketches and Comics." So, yeah.
I guess I’ll start off with one of my more popular poems. I posted this one on my DA account and it’s doing really well and I showed it to my classmates and they think it was really good. Here’s my poem Silencio.
Silencio
By Johnathan Segovia
Silence is not quiet;
Nor is quient silent.
There is no such thing as silence or quiet;
Only sound.
All alone all by myself;
My brain says it is "quiet",
But my ears beg to differ.
Silence is a tone that wants to be heard,
All you have to do is listen.
Lightly aloof, my head wanders,
To music and songs not heard,
But made to be heard.
Not a living soul around.
My head thinks "silence"
But my ears beg to differ.
Personification comes to play.
Giving life to emptiness.
Giving sound to emptiness.
There's a lot of sound in silence.
Just listen.
