Strip naked and use your clothes to form a rope still too short to get you down. Then realize that posing naked will make certain fire departments arrive faster.

Even if he did make a rope out of his clothes, what would he tie it to so he could climb down? Well, at least the naked part would still garner the fire debartments attention.

Because the rope wouldn't be long enough and there wouldn't be anything to attach it to? And because the attention will make him feel pretty?
