Splendiferous Magnificence!

Hey everyone! Forgive me for shamelessly self promoting, but it's time for some shameless self promotion! After a hiatus that lasted a few weeks longer than the projected month, my webcomic "Alone in a Crowd" is back with a whole new website and new strips!

Since I've always gotten a lot of good support from you guys, I just wanted to make that little announcement. So if you guys could stop by and take a look, I would be eternally grateful. I'm putting a lot of work into the comic now and it takes a great deal of my free time. That's why you don't see much of me here anymore.

So please, if you can and feel inclined, let me know what you think.

Good to have you back, Tom! Loving the new website. I do have a few ideas for some possible improvements, so here goes.

-The layout of the navigation arrows on the left hand side might flow a little bit better with the arrows on the left, text on the right, eg,
--->>> TEXT HERE

-You also might want to hotlink the "Alone in a Crowd" logo to the home screen. Makes it a little bit easier for us lazy people. :P

-For archives, it might be a good idea to have the most recent strip archives on top, and the older ones on the bottom.

-Just a nitpick here, but I might just link to an LJ in the left navigation text rather than embed it in the page itself. Makes the main page look a little bit cleaner, and easier to read.

Comic itself is looking great, as always. I'll be checking it on Wednesdays regularly. My two cents. You can buy two Swedish Fish now. :)

I like the comic, but your website doesn't seem to like Maxthon (web browser) very much

Heh, funny you should mention that about the hotlink. I found even myself trying to click on the logo as a link back to the home page, just out of habit from other sites. So I may just have to make that change. However I will probably make the Livejournal a link at some point. Either way it's still going to be below the comic as well because I do want a journal of some fashion right on the front page.

Thanks for your kind words ^-^ Very glad to have you as a reader.

I've never even heard of Maxthon  Honestly, all we had to view the site in when making it was IE and Firefox. Beyond that, it's kind of up in the air I'm afraid.

Maxthon uses the IE rendering engine if I'm not mistaken. Don't know why it doesn't work with your site though.

It's from china. It's like firefox, but for windows, not Linux.

It might just be my computer (it has some issues)

And yes by default it runs trident(IE engine), but can also run on gecko(Firefox engine)

Maxthon uses Trident (IE's layout engine) by default but it can also use Gecko (Firefox's layout engine). Try switching to that and see if AIAC works better.

Dude that would be an AWESOME slogan. :D

...in my opinion AIAC is worth the effort. It's currently the only webcomic I read.
