I just did a quick look at those.

From what I can tell they're good. Though, you miss some details that can make it look very odd. Sometimes you forgot the white muzzle (use the lasso or pen tool for that ). Then, when you did color those, you forgot to color the tongue when their mouth was open. White tongues! Then... I see colorings that are actually really great and perfect. What's up?

They should have basically the same functions though. Gimp must have a lasso or pen right? Heck, Flash has a pen tool...

Oh, before I forget. For those of you that want to color strips, here's the color sheet thingy.

I have a great tipp for you.
You shuld ever by normal picture use .png not .jpg.
Specials can be .jpg or .bmp.
The great thing on .png is, it can be transparents, and have a better color quality.
The stupid thing is many internet sites use .jpg.

I mean I don't know like photoshop, but it mußt be the same. YOur picture of luckely the same quality. But black leters on red ground are very scarry on .jpg.

I hope you like this tipp. mamby oyu know this, but I think some people or many people don't know and they lern from this massage.

I'm aware that PNG has better quality, but in most cases JPEG has a smaller filesize, and it still looks just as good if you do it right. You don't need transparency in a strip.

I don't know. I think I do it rong, but the big picture in .png are bigger than in .jpg. Little picture like the comic strips are smaler in .png by me than .jpg.
And what happend? It is the same I have mor then 4.000 pictures at my "eigene Bilder" for my screen saver. And it doesn't hte matter.

But when yo know to make good jpg can you tell me that, I think maybi I need this knowledge.

I have no clue what you said there.

Also, it depends on the size. If you have a small image then PNG will be smaller. Same if you have a picture with only a few colors. Take note that the color pallet thing I made is PNG

The real test comes when you look closely. For mass posting of things like this, even though the size difference is small, it adds up.

Also, his comment of red on black in JPEG is totally true. I also noticed this a bit in the jpeg version of that comic there, Sage.
