very simple O&M Meditation game

Postby Aahe » Sun Jan 06, 2008 10:27 pm

I saw the thread about an O&M game and I've been meaning to use Game Maker so I thought of something really simple to make in Game Maker 7. It's not hard, there is only 1 level and this second version is a lot like the Catch the Clown game form the GM tutorials, but it was fun to make a little game again  . I thought I'd share it anyways. I hope the game is enjoyable for a few seconds before you toss it to the recycle bin.

If anybody cares about this I can still easily edit some things.

Glad you think so. I guess the score and high-score table was a good idea.

How come the serenity bar keeps filling up by itself?

It was a nice little thing, but yes, quite short.

Not too bad for a colossal waste of time. I enjoyed it. Very simplistic yet strangely addicting. At present my best score is 180. I hope to improve on that a little more.

Seriously!? Dang...My zen is way too slow. Guess I'm too easily distracted as most people say.

I thought it would make sense to have Millie's serenity increase as she continues meditating and decrease if she had thoughts pop into her head.
It was a nice little thing, but yes, quite short.
Thank you. Yeah only one level. I could add a few more levels, since I'm still using Game Maker at the moment.

Clossal waste of time and strangely addicting, I don't whether to be pleased or disappointed =). I'm glad your playing it more than once.

Oh! I forgot that I should decrease the score when you get hit by a thought.

I think this game needs sound. Any suggestions? Thank you very much all for trying the little game.

I didn't mean any disrespect. I was just nearly pointing out like you have of how it's so addicting in its simplicity that you end up wasting a lot of time without realizing it. That's all I meant by that.

O.K, anyways it's alright. This was a very short project. Glad my game had that kind of effect =).
