Time of Need

After posting my drawing "It was Bound to Happen," many of you were vocal about hopes of me drawing more pictures of a similar nature. Well, this one is kind of similar in some senses, but in others it's in a completely different vein. Either way, I hope you like it.

For drawing's like this, I don't like to fully explain what's going on. I think it's a lot more fun to create your own story from it. My basic premise is that something really distressing has happened in Millie's life, and she's just hit that breaking point and has turned to her closest friend for comfort. Of course, Ozy's not used to seeing this side of Millie, so he can't help but look a little shocked by her sudden embrace. Beyond that, have fun creating your own stories! :D

One thing I must point out is the white tuft of fur on Millie's face. When I was coloring this with Prismacolor markers, my mind was wondering for some reason and I ended up coloring her whole face red. That made me so mad since I thought the initial sketch looked so darn cute. Now, since I don't have photoshop or anything like that, there wasn't any fancy way for me to fix my error. I was too fond of the picture to not post it, so I tried my best to draw the white tuft in using the simple Paint program on windows.......it actually looks a lot better than I was expecting it to turn out. Despite that, I still don't like how it looks, which is why I figured I'd tell this story.

That is absolutly MARVELOUS! I couldn't help but go, "Oh my gosh awwwwwwwwwww!" That has got to be one of the cutest scenes of those two I have ever seen. The bit of backstory you gave it really brings the emotion to it's peak. Stunning, really!
:crycry:

If you hadn't said it I never would have known about the white part.

But it's a very nice picture.

"They elected Cheney!"

All in all nice work, and good coloring with the markers.

wouldn't that be more IDT than O&M? oh well.

Very nice, Very Very nice. I got a story in my head when I saw it too, but it was kinda weird...

Short version: Someone close to millie dies.

What can I say, I love to draw emotion.

Thanks everyone :wag: You're all so awesome! I don't think I've gotten such warm responses on my art anywhere else. I'm very glad you like it.

I wouldnt say it screams cute because of the emotion, but it does have this odd underlying factor of cute.

Is the first time Millie (or any other O&M character) has been drawn crying?

Anyways, very nice job. You make me jealous sometimes.

I believe this is a first for Millie truely crying.

And good job with the pic! There are true emotions there (unlike this strip :P).

Even if we didn't have this comic evidence of Millie crying (hey, I count it. That's an emotional moment, despite the punchline), I don't think we can count a piece of fanart as being a first. I would think only D.C. has the power to create a first.

Also, many thanks for the additional comments! They mean a lot to me ^-^
