This thread is basically for any sort of riddles or other mind puzzlers based in words. How this works is someone gives a riddle (or something similar) and people can guess until someone gets it right. When someone answers it correctly, that peron can then post a new riddle, or can let someone else post one.

Scoreboard
dragonranpu: 1
GhostWay: 1

I'll start you off:

One night, a man left his house and turned off the lights. Later that night, five men broke into his house and were all killed. How?

Perhaps I should clarify. There was no other living being in the house other than the man who left. And nothing entered or left the house that night after the five burglars arrived.

There was a gas lerak and when they turned on the lights the resultant spark exploded the house taking all five men with it.

No, I'm afraid you're wrong there DooG.

Ah, what the heck. I'll tell you now.

The house was a lighthouse and the man was the lighthouse keeper. When he left, he turned out all the lights, including the beacon. Without the aid of a lighthouse, a ship crashed into the shore and the house, killing the five men.

And now, a new riddle.

One morning, a man is found dead in an empty room. He is found hanging from a noose tied to a rafter. Underneath the man is a puddle. There are no windows or furniture in the room. The only door to the room was locked on the inside, and the dead man was the only one with the keys to the room. The police, searching for the man because he was missing, had to force open the door, as it was locked. How did the man die?

He was locked in an ice house. He turn off the cooler and hung himself By standing on a block of ice which melted thus hanging the man.

that doesn't make sence. Let me explain again. He stood on a block of ice. Got the noose over the rafter and put it around his neck. when the ice melted He was thusly hung.
