I also object to the overuse of Serpentine in products' logos. But I'm probably the only person who even notices.

The scary thing is that Millie's comment REALLY sounded like something DC would say.

I see no problem with using Comic Sans as god and/or Gates intended: for comics.

My job requires a restriction to Times New Roman, Arial, Tahoma, Garamond, and occasionally Verdana. MetaPlusMedium is history for us.

If only I could use the font from Chipotle's signs.

My main complaint is that Comic Sans isn't realistic enough as hand lettering, and that it looks all the worse from overuse. There are plenty of other comic fonts out there.

Helvetica owns them all.

I prefer Batang, but I don't think that's a very common font. Also I like Andale Mono because it looks like I'm using a typewriter.

Compared to my hand lettering Comic Sans is as a gift from above. Although some of the fonts you linked to have a certain amount of "charm" or "not comic sansyness" about them.

Which is scariest:

A.) This Garfield comic
B.) The fact that it had people going
or C.) The the topic in question quickly deteriorated into a debate about fonts.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

I'd say (b). The comic itself is scary only for the eyes.

Really, if a thread hasn't deteriorated into something completely unrelated, then something's wrong here.

Speaking of which, how did this thread last three pages without getting moved to fanart? :P
