Nice picture, what is BSOD?
The infamous Blue Screen of Death, a plague of Windows since the beginning. As seen here.

Every time a Windows computer BSODs Bill Gates gets a nickel. :P

Ironically, I use Windows 'cos I'm a lazy sod. :P

Yes, when you see the Blue Screen of Death, it means you face imminent data loss. You have no way of preventing it.
YOU ARE DOOMED!!!
Bwahaha*yerf*hahaha!!!

However, Mac users face the "spinning beach ball of death," so don't worry, you're not alone.
Though the spinning beach ball of death is not anywhere near as bad as the BSOD.

Windows: "Failure is not an option. It's built in." :wag:

(By the way, if you're lazy, I recommend a Mac. Everything is so EASY! (the ninja penguin says that sometimes it's too easy. Go figure.)) :ninja:

I now have two computers--the main one running XP and a slower one running Ubuntu. I'm actually using the Ubuntu one right now. (Yah, got the internet to work on it...for now, anyway...)
I've only got one monitor and keyboard, though, so I don't switch to the Ubuntu one much. :D

Cameron is awesome because:
-Because he has an artistic style that is both complex and minimalist. This is profound!
-He once drew me as a roadrunner. It was an actual honest to god feral roadrunner, but a roadrunner nonetheless!
-He lives in Idaho among the wilderness and stuff and I envy him for that. 3:
-He is probably one of the most personable artists on here.
-I think he's the only one of us on here who drew a fanart that made it as a guest strip on O&M. This is an accomplishment!

You need a good KBM switch. (Keyboard/Monitor switch)
By the way, good for you. I usually use my Mac, though. Some things like the IRC aren't working on the other computer yet, plus this one is more powerful and closer to me. (very small desk. theTank is behind my Mac, so I have to reach over the Mac to use it.)

On Linux of course, you don't get any indication on the screen that the system reached a BSoD-like state (called kernel panic), just the flashing lights on your keyboard. Too bad panicked kernels can't raise skinny elephants (a task that is utterly boring).
You need a good KBM switch. (Keyboard/Monitor switch)
You mean a KVM switch? (Keyboard/Video/Mouse)

That sounds like a good idea. I figured they made something like that, but I didn't know what it'd be called. Looks like I can get one for cheap on eBay, too...

Perhaps that's what it was. All my computers are notebooks of one sort or another. I have no need for such a device.

Cam, be sure you get a good one. Research could definitely save you some heartache/headache.

I have a feeling it was doomed to derailment from the very beginning.
