But that system was for when there were many entries and if memory serves me right, has only been used in the Halloween 2003 contest so far. The idea was that if there were many entries it would be easier for the voters and fairer to the contestants if everyone voting choose their top three and gave three, two, one point(s) respectively. However alongside this it was decided that with few entries, a poll would work better.

I actually DID have this in mind when making the poll, but three entries isn't much.

However, you can always influence future contest polls by...oh I dunno...participating!!!

Anyway, the numbers have been stable the last few days, I think FoxChild is officially the winner.

Well... Mathematically speaking it does make a difference (in fact, mathematically speaking the only perfect way of deciding between more than two entries is to only take into account the opinion of one person. But I digress). Though I do see the points made on the ratio between complexity of voting form and the amount of entries to tip the scale.

And I would participate. Except that my art is... Um... Potentially the worst thing in the universe.

I'm actually more compelled to prove that I'm a worse drawer while doing my best at drawing than I am to show that I'm better at something than someone. There has to be some explanation for this somewhere...

Good ol' human competitiveness. Got the human race where it is today e.e

And... I can't. I don't have a scanner. I could use paint, though, that's what I used for my avatar that I can't see anymore. Unless I lower my firewall.

Shame. Hmm.... Any chance of borrowing a friend's scanner and floppy disk drive? Otherwise, best suggestion would be 'digital camera', which would have... Interesting... Results (it can work... But it usually doesn't). Ah well. Contact me when you figure out a way of getting an image into a comptuer, I guess

I'd love to participate in some of these art contests. I want to get better with my art skills since I've neglected them since.... 8? 9?

Trouble is, I don't have experience with the methods artists use for precision. You know, like the sketch skeleton and stuff? Every time I try one of those, it ends up horribly disfigured, like Stretch Armstrong. So when I make a sketch, it looks pretty much the way it's going to look in the finished product.
