Hah. That was the first word out of my mouth upon seeing this strip.

Yeah its much better if nothing ever changes. I would have been much happier with a joke about how the cool kids at school are shallow and the unpopular kids are really the cool ones.

Wait, didn't he just have a revelation that he didn't need to be "cool" like... less than ten strips ago?

*checks* Ayup.

This slow pace must be doing a real number on D.C.'s ability to remember where the storyline is going.

Maybe it's because she's sheared that the heat is no longer getting to her, and she can think normally, a bit?

Or maybe it's because she's seeing him with shorts on, instead of him being normally pantsless? :D

Oh piffle. Avery has had revelations before. They don't tend to stick. And getting a letter like that might be twisting a knife made of mercury and salt in the wound.

Hm, character development is nice, though it's not really my favorite strip ever.

Yeah reveleations, resolutions, yada yada yada. These things don't tend to stick. Though I might add that this may be an inference to Avery's previous revelation that coolness is not just subjective to how the entire world views you but rather how you or even people close to you view you. Just a little thought on that. I've personally always thought Avery was cool just cuase...well...he's a raccoon and raccoons are just awesome.

I'm surprised that no one else has called this installment cute. I find Felicia more likable as she warms up to Avery.

I agree with this is statement.

Also, awesome page. I too, however, find it strange that Avery still cares that he is or is not cool...

I'll back you up on that. Besides, I like seeing Felicia evolve. Still, the storytelling does seem a bit oddly paced.
