Oh I like how her ear overlaps into the speech bubble.

Oh noes! The Mudd law hut has been retconned or unconned and now Ms Mudd works in a large office building. Oh tragedies of tragedies my tears came down in streams! For what I thought were mango biscuits were nothin' more than custard creams.
Mr. Owl, does she work at a law firm or is she self-employed? The world may never know.

Hey now, there's nothing wrong with lawyers in general. You just have to watch out for the ambulance chasers. And the aspiring politicians.

I miss the "shack." ;D I gotta wonder now, though, does she have a secretary? It'd actually be neat watching her conduct business.

Now I want to draw Ms. Mudd fulfilling her childhood dream. Unless somebody beats me to it.

Actually it's sort of funny. I never actually meant to draw her working in a shack, I just wasn't a very good artist in the beginning and just sort of drew a building for her to work in without putting any thought into it. Had I given the matter two minutes of consideration at the time, I would have drawn something more like this to begin with.
(I've always been a lazy artist in all kinds of ways, truthfully.)
The locations in O&M are usually meant to look vaguely like what was around me growing up, and for the record, as far as I know my home town did not have a lot of lawyers operating out of toolsheds.

Is there any other kind of artist?

Cartoonist especially! It's one field where it's very important to be able to say "eh, that's good enough," because there's always another strip to move on to.

Hah. I just love Ms. Mudd's facial expression in that last panel. It reminds me so very much of that matter-of-fact look that Llewellyn gives once in a while. Millie, too.
Nice role reversal, too. Normally, isn't it Millie saying something with that smile and her mom giving her that look? XD

Then come on over to Stonington, Connecticut! There's plenty of lawyers operating out of toolsheds, I can tell you.
