Is that it?
I thought it was another subtle political thing.
Not really funny, but informative and good art.
I didn't know that was why you're not supposed to take pictures.

If a single flash is the equivalent of decades of sunlight, doesn't that mean every picture that's taken of you shortens your life? Or does it just mean in light, not in radiation?

That's a gross exaggeration really. One flash is a few seconds of sunlight at most. If it really were decades, one single flash would contain enough energy to incinerate an entire country.

That's two non-funnies in a row. I'm starting to think that this is DCS's equivalent of the C&H "growing" series.

I've heard that the original U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence are nearly blank now. How potentially symbolic.

This strip's art is quite nice ^-^ And I do like the "not really funny" nature of the past couple of strips as a slight change of pace. Really puts forth the wole slice of life feel of "Ozy and Millie."

I'm just glad those sculptures and buildings are still standing. Some of those really ancient ones like the Giza pyramids and Stonehenge were really built to last.

That is... our sun. If we were talking Deneb... Hoooweee our solar system would be lit up for years.

One thing I'm a bit confused, those sculptures look roman/greekish or something... They don't use rock or stone, they used marble and hollow bronze casted statues. Eventually the Romans went with concrete for their structures. Ok enough history lessons from me.

O&M has always seemed to have been 2/3 funny, 1/3 insightful to me, on purpose, and is part of what sets it apart and above a lot of the random 'gag-a-day' strips out there.

Plus, it's totally in character for them. *loves that horse statue*

The driver of the chariot in the background could be a horse too.

To me it's usually both those things at once. Going two strips in a row without trying to be funny, especially with a weekend in between, is rare for O&M.

He is talking about "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley.
