Millie adds atmosphere

I really thought someone else would have started this thread by now.

Wow. This must be a pretty long flight of stairs to use a second strip. As usual, Millie's narration fills the air and helps set the mood to her surreal imagination. It appears quite believeable that she has done this so often that she no longer notices it anymore. It's a good thing that Ozy seems to be taking it pretty well.

EDIT: Oops.. wrong link.
this thread wasn't posted until 11:30 my time! HOLY SWEET MERCIFUL CRUD! YOUR ALL FIRED!
Ok, nevermind. (im in a rant sort of mood, in fact i may get a blurty acct, or a live journal account because of something you may or may not read in the"Waaaaaa!" thread. Ranting sometimes includes lines like that of above.)
That is a rather tall set of stairs, and rather dark at that. I also agree that the use of only black and white is one of simpsons strong points in his weekday style strips. Honestly, i love the atmosphere he created using the shadow effects on the wall. The naration and not toticing thing is actually very reminicent of ADD (of which, i've had at least one major moment of today: "yeah, dont look at the rugrats movie, it'll burn your eyes out like - Ooh, candyland!" {quote from the me in the entrance of a local walmart}) One thing with ADD is you don't always realize that what your doing is noticed by everyone around you, such as narating a walk up dark, shadow engulfed staircase. Millies final question may be due to the fact that she didn't fully realize what she was doing as she went up the stairs, not fully thinking about the action of narating, and just letting it happen. hey, kinda sounds like Zen, doesnt it! hm... odd yet fully fitting!

That stair case is spiral, I think. It looks real round and swurvy.

As for the tall set of stairs, Ozy and Llewellyn's house has a moat, therefore I think it's reasonable to assume it's no ordinary house maybe even castle like. I've never seen a house with a moat thart doesn't have a turret. Maybe the attic is al the way at the ytop of a turret.
LLEWELLYN: And surely you've noticed that a great deal of what I do is extremely strange.

Well, this strip is really the biggest view of the exterior of Ozy's house, so it's kinda hard to decipher how big it is, but it doesn't look castle-like.

Maybe MTV should do an episode of Cribs at Ozy's house. I'd watch.

But in the rain strip, the way Ozy is acting and everything, it just gives the impression that that's his home.
