Random Drama

When Simpson said he was going to rerun an entire sequence in order, I was surprised to see that find that he chose this one, since the reposted "Witchcraft!" strip fits in the continuity of the story of this one, but then he would have had to include the things that led into it, including the visit to Flat Earth Books, Llewellyn's earlier attempts to homeschool Ozy, and the problem that started all of those stories: Too serene?

But then again if Simpson had reposted all of those, we would be looking at reruns from that storyline for weeks.. as it stands already, I have no idea how far along he intends to follow this story since the continuity stretches for well over a month's worth of strips (16 prior, 29 after). I suppose he might stop it at 8 strips, just before his already reposted The old cookie trick, which may let us have a Christmas strip on the 25th..

As for the storylines themselves, I think I like how one thing just leads itself to something almost totally random and yet naturally follows from the chain of events. It's also rather funny that Ozy's return to public education comes at just the right time for summer break.

I only wish the stories did that more often, like The Simpsons.

Yes, but then it would be more like the Simpsons and less like Ozy & Millie.

Sorry, BSP, but until 5hfifty gets back, it's just us moderators. As far as I can tell, I can't change the forums to use Fast Reply, and I assume the others can't either.

I usually don't get to post here a lot because by the time i come the topic has been set and somebody has said most of what i'd say and i don't want to repeat it all over. Anyway now it's different.

Notice how "the attic" isn't in Llewellyn's usual gothic type. I think it's deliberate of course, adding to the drama of the situation. It's also an advantage comics have in this area. That single panel would be perfect for a 50's b-movie sort of film. After reading this whenever i get to say attic i remember this and pronounce it like so, with arms up. I've yet to figure out a way to shroud me in black when i say it though.

Jacob... I find that a 1-3 million candlepower flashlight lighting up behind you at just the right moment produces a nice silhouette. Just have the proper underling be ready to light you up when you are ready for your random drama.

Hey thanks Tavis, do you have any idea how much it would cost to build an apparatus to support all this?
