In the UK compulsary education establishments don't get out until... Oh... Next week or the week after. Then go back early September.Wait... Felicia goes to summer school?
I seriously have never got how American kids survive 2-3 month summer vacations. Six weeks I was bored out of my skull back when I was a kid.

Here in the Netherlands I'm pretty sure in some regions the summer vacation hasn't begun yet. I seriously have never got how American kids survive 2-3 month summer vacations. Six weeks I was bored out of my skull back when I was a kid.
A bit of searching reveals that over here, summer vacation for elementary schools in the south starts July 1st, middle part of the country July 8th and northern part July 22nd.

Well, camps and trips help pass the time, but you're right: we do seem to give kids too much of what they request with regard to summer vacation.

That's funny, I recall being bored out of my skull after six weeks of SCHOOL...I seriously have never got how American kids survive 2-3 month summer vacations. Six weeks I was bored out of my skull back when I was a kid.
