You would think that the association would just let him be since he's like a dragon and can burn down the entire neighborhood, including them.

DCS uploads more than one strip at a time, it's some other guy that makes it seen throughout the world and the mirrors.

...I'm actually pretty curious about what you saw, since:
1. Obviously there are no Saturday strips and this is no exception;
2. I haven't uploaded any of next week's strips yet;
3. Even if I had, Monday's strip cannot be described that way, since on Monday we're back with our heroes in D.C.

DCS: I still like the way you can have two storylines playing at the same time and have them both be awesome.
