This revolution isn't all that new, just faster. The Max Power way, to those whom know what that means.

Ironically, I think a lot of the things in this perceived revolution was inevitable as the supply of artists and thinkers has grown with the ease at which isolated individuals are able to produce content and that the techies have managed to make copying and distributing that content easier than ever. This glut has forced the value of any individual's contribution to be divided among so many millions of people that the masses feel it should be given away for nothing. If you had something that was worth a thousand dollars, but was copied a billion times at virtually no cost to you, how much did the copy cost? People feel it beneath them to contribute so little that they contribute nothing. Unfortunately, the difference between a speck and nothing is huge when multiplied enough. THAT is what I think is the biggest problem with trying to sell comics, music, or anything intellectual nowadays.

It'd be nice to be a techie AND an artist, so that you can afford to make the things you enjoy making and not have to worry about it not paying off the bills. Still, it'd be better if our art were more profitable.

One last thing I have to ask.. Who is that in Stephan's glasses?

I wondered who it was in Stephan's glasses, too, when the strip first came out. I figured he would explain it in the blurb below the comic this time but no such luck. Since he didn't explain it, it's got to be someone who he thinks needs no introduction, so someone out there has to know. Anybody?

No idea, may have something to do with the phrase that Stephen said.

The person in Stepan's glasses is Che Guevara. He was a Cuban revolutionary and Castro's right hand man back in the early part of his regime. For some reason in the past few years he has become very popular with people who consider themselves revolutionaries or anarchists. The picture used by Mr. Simpson is the most famous of him and can be found on t-shirts and posters all over the place(at least here in Canada anyway). Don't ask me why.

Each grou, artist, thinker has to make their own choices and we have to respect that. It is not in my right to tell you what to do with your creation. I may not like that but I have to do whats right.

Also:

Quote:

The picture used by Mr. Simpson is the most famous of him and can be found on t-shirts and posters all over the place(at least here in Canada anyway).
