Play computer games for about three hours a day and your eyesight would go in a bat of an eyelid.
I wonder if it'll finally get it's own forum too. I've always wanted a place online where I can talk about O&M.

Last I checked, turning pages makes a very distinctive sound.

I once played a Call Of Duty Clan Tornament for 10 hours straight, getting food and using the toilet in the loading screens.

But I already had glasses.

I don't read in the dark much anymore, but I used to do it because I was rigorous about saving energy. Except where TV and video games were concerned.

In the fourth grade, I read an old "Peanuts" episode from the period when Linus wore glasses. Lucy warned him that reading in the dark was bad for his eyes, and he said, "My opthalmologist says that is a mistaken belief." I took that as an authority to counter my mom. Now I understand that while the risk of long-term damage is largely exaggerated, the prolonged eye strain can make you nearsighted eventually.

God...I now have a spoof of Hoobastank's "Crawling in the Dark" forming in my head...

I will dedicate, and spend my every night to
try to ruin my own eyes, so I can get some glasses.
I wish I could know, if the actions that I take
and the choice that I make, will make sure I see nothing.

Show me what to do
Make me lose my eyesight
I've been reading in the dark...just to get some glasses.
Is there something more?
Even underhanded?
I've been reading in the dark...just to get some glasses.
