I like Millie's suggestion. That's got to work a heck of a lot better than selling overpriced candy bars.
Our first (yes, there were multiple funraisers) funraiser was selling Gold Cards for 10 bucks. It didn't expire for a looonnnggg time, and it let you get discounts at restaurants, but very obscure restaurants and very limited discounts. Like, free garlic bread when you order blah blah blah at some pizze restaurant.

Our 2nd one we sold overpriced roses that died quickly, enough said.

Our 3rd one was the stupidest, it was called musical Christmas Cards. We'd go door to door at night and give people Christmas Cards who ordered them, and then I kid you not ladies and gentlemen, we had to play a song for them, even if they didn't want one. Yeah, I never participated in that one.

Our 4th one was desperate. Donations.

Our 5th one wasn't bad. It was a chili supper. The bands would perform for you, along with a hired rock band, and there were silent auctions and bake sales and stuff.

Ooh.. so Millie knows modular origami? Yaaay! Awesome stuff. And from the look of that hat, that's quite a lot of cash.

That last panel looks quite unique to me, in terms of Ozy & Millie placement, outfit, background etc. I like it

And the hat could be made of 1-dollar bills for all you know...
