I am even more impressed that DC was able to make a really decent rhyme with "George Stephanopoulos". Of course, just hand-drawing that name in Llewellyn's calligraphic font is a feat in itself.

Of course, by mentioning the political analyst, it kind of suggests the ritual is not as ancient as we are led to believe, George Stephanopoulos is more ancient than we are led to believe, or (most likely) that the seasonal chants are updated every once in a while.

EDIT: On a side note, I'm wondering what would be the best way to enter the titles to these threads to make them easier to read.. how about we enter the name first, date, and original date on the description?
Instead of: 12 November 2000 - Dragon Autumn Ritual
Try: Dragon Autumn Ritual: 12 Nov 2000
People remember the strips better by title than by date, I think.

I didn't find it how he ment it to be, most of his random silliness strips have Ozy or someone who backs up the normality factor so it still makes sence.

I love silly strips, and how Ozy is always used to the weirdness.

... or perhaps, the chant is updated yearly, and that the seasonal ritual is simply the reading of poetry on the tree branch

I agree with LotharBot. The poem probably changes from year to year.

Yeah.. that's why I had labelled that one as (most likely) in my first post. Maybe not necessarily changed annually, but changed nonetheless.

George Stephanopoulos was one of Bill Clinton's politcal consultants. Several people say that polotics today is not determined by the polotitions stance on isues but on the stratagies political consultants come up with to win elections. I underdstand that George Stephanopoulos is a hero in his field.
