Plus maybe Avery thinks that hanging around Ozy will make him more dweeb-like and so get him more attention, than, simply wearing a barrel (considering his personality essentially inverted and now he's failing at being a dweeb instead of failing to be cool)

I dunno.. Ozy does have the coolness factors of having a wealthy dragon that rules a small country for a dad, being an insider to conspiracies, and of course wearing a shiny hat that could never go out of style.

Not really 'ten year old kid coolness', though, because in general, a ten year old kid wouldn't know true cool if it came up and bit them on the tail.

Dragons are not reptiles. Dragons are Dragons. If there's one thing you ought to have taken out of this series by now, it should be that Dragons do not play by the same rules as everyone else.

Oh, and Isolde isn't in a direct line of descent to receive the Hair Curse. It's an extended family. She's not Ozy's first cousin. I'm not sure how far out she is, but far enough.

The Hair Curse most likely follows a single family line, with Llewellyn being the most direct descendant of the original victim of the curse (can't remember his name), right?

Even though he didn't actually appear in this strip, I still feel sorry for Avery.

After panels 2 and 3, I can see what all the fuss about Isolde is about.
