So does this mean Llewellyn is prescient?

Looking at it, the last panel perspective seems a little off. The characters look too large for the truck, especially when in the first panel there seems to be ample free space for Millie and Isolde where they sit.

But i don't go around criticising, i just accept he's drawn it like that and move on. For me comics need not be drawn perfectly.

hah. To me the moat looked too shallow, but that's not important. What is important is that there's no way in hell anyone didn't see that coming. I think. I just didn't expect it to come so soon.

I thought the truck looked oddly small as well, especially when you consider the cabin size in the first panel. Millie has a very amusing look in the first panel. I almost picture a thought bubble saying "That was it? But I wanted to drive a lot more than that."

Another thing about Isolde... there was something that felt odd about her appearance in this latest storyline. Her eyes used to be clearly visible through her eyeglasses like Llewellyn, but now they are mere dots, like Stephan's eyes. Only here, where we see them from behind the glasses, do we actually get to see the rest of her eyes.

I wonder what other stuff is in Llewellyn's moat.

Well, thankfully everyone looks ok. And yea, perspective is a bit off in this one, but DCS has said that he sometimes shrinks larger objects in strips so that smaller characters aren't miniscule, so all is well in my eyes.

I wounder if that is the end of it. their are still a lot of losse ends to tie up but the truck is out side of the U.S technicly.

Hey, did anyone notice that the last panel is backwords compared with the first?

In the first panel, Llewellyn is approaching from the driver's side (the left side of the cab). On the last panel, they are standing on the passenger side of the cab (the right side of the cab). Unless they waded the moat, I think what may have happened was that David started with a picture of the characters standing in the foreground, with the truck in the background, and simply reversed it without changing the perspective.

That expression on Millie in the first panal is the first time I've ever seen that kind of expression on the entire O&M comic.

They have the mercury and some loose ends to tie up. It is the beginning of the end.

I didn't see the moat part coming. I thought it was for House Rules Parcheesi flags and for Millie to book package holidays to.

The truck does look too small, I think thats agreed by general concensus but it is all the better for being able to see it, everyone and their speech.
This could well be the beginning of the beginning. I never believed he would actually do the mercury hijacking story in the first place. There's tons more that might get put in, but Dave is secretive by nature, and I'm never quite sure what he'll decide to include, what he'll decide to leave out, and what jokes and plot twists he's keeping as a surprise.

The basic core of this little romp is years old. I think it dates back to the first time he ever showed Isolde in color, whenever that was. I still have pictures of her from back when he hadn't put her in a Sunday strip, and I thought she WAS silver.

This plot is a bit confusing, but oh well, I'm still on 2000. =P
