That's interesting that Felicia and Avery have been hanging out since the field trip . I don't get why Avery wants to be off putting...

I don't get why Avery wants to be off putting...
He wants to be part of the "in" clique, which is distinguished for being unkind to those whom it excludes. And he's not bright enough to realize that being kinda popular with only one person is hardly cool.
