OTOH, having a deadline puts limits to your laziness. Since I've started "Downscale," I've increased what little industriousness I have, and I fully intend not to miss an update at least until it's been going for quite a while. If I were doing "high" art with no deadline, I might put in more effort, but I'd take enough break time to feel lazier.Cartoonist especially! It's one field where it's very important to be able to say "eh, that's good enough," because there's always another strip to move on to.Is there any other kind of artist?
There are certainly non-lazy artists, especially if you go by a broader definition of "art." How many songs did the Beatles write and perform in their short time as a band?
