I think that's the sanest way of looking at things.
Use of force usually only justified in the defense of self or those under your protection, or an 'innocent' person - and it's that 'innocent' that's where it can get muddled sometimes.
But overall, Jeremy was clearly going to assault Ozy. Both from his history of previous actions, and stated intentions.
That's something I've always wondered about - when a bully is known to assault children, why doesn't' the school or the parents go to the police and charge the kid with Criminal Assault?
But yeah, a first reaction of pacifism is *always* better than a first reaction of violence, that's one of the things I've founded my adult life on, though I've deliberately left room for defense of self and others in that.

There's nothing wong with a bit of that every now and thenOf course. I don't for a minute think this shouldn't have happened. I was just disturbed to see reactions that bordered on Schadenfrude.I'm mostly a pacifist, but I do believe if an innocent person is about to be beaten and you use force to prevent it, that's completely defensible.

I was more excited to see that Isolde would take such action rather than just sit back and get a "action scene" for her film. Shows she cares more for her family, which wasn't so noticeable with her last film.Of course. I don't for a minute think this shouldn't have happened. I can never hear the word "Schadenfrude" without thinking of Avenue Q.

As long as it isn't overkill. And I doubt it was this time.I'm mostly a pacifist, but I do believe if an innocent person is about to be beaten and you use force to prevent it, that's completely defensible.

Depends what you mean by rough waters. I don't wish death or torture against people I don't like, and I certainly wouldn't hit anybody - even if there wouldn't be repercussions. so often makes our minds go astray.[/quote:d782eb13a9]I don't like to be to vengeful myself, but deep down we all love watching our terrible foes finally find themselves in rough waters.
To include everyone may be a song of American Pie length to use

Not that it couldn't be done,...

Did the storyteller know that the burglar had reformed? I hope so. I intend to try a talk if I ever encounter a thief in action.g
