I think it's pronounced Steven because that's how my teacher's name is spelled, but it's pronounced as Steven.

I think it's Stef-awn (like lawn) because that's how someone I know pronounces his name.

...Steven and Stephen, because those are confusing enough already.

Usually those pronounciations are spelled is "Stefan" instead of "Stephan". I also think it's Steven, as in Stephan King and Stephan Hawking.
Who sleeps shall awake, greeting the shadows from the sun
Who sleeps shall awake, looking through the window of our lives
Waiting for the moment to arrive...
Show us the silence in the rise,
So that we may someday understand...

Actually, they're both Stephen.
no they're not. Stee-vin. for both spellings.
I'm saying they're confusing in that people keep mistaking one for the other. And if Stephan is pronounced the same, that makes three possible spellings.

What we need to do is gather up every Stephan, Stephen, or Steven on the planet, and have them change their names to Image. Then the world will really be a perfect place.

It must be killing Stephan to know he can't pull off the Live Long and Prosper hand sign properly with just three fingers and a thumb.
I hate some people.
Today I heard someone say, "Isn't that the sign for gay people?"
I turn around and... you guessed it. She was holding up the Vulcan Greeting. I just put my head down and thought aboud her getting old and fat, eventually dieing in a McDonalds.

Suprisingly enough, it has its stems in ancient Judaism. The Cohens (priests) were supposedly the only people capable of making that sign and it was considered very holy. I believe that whenever the Cohen made that sign to bless a minion, they would have to avert their eyes.

Note: Leonard Nemoy is Jewish.

In another interesting bit of trivia: the vulcan neck pinch was invented because Nemoy thought the knocking someone out by smacking them with a gun was too lowbrow for the Vulcans. Hence, the neck pinch.
That which does not kill me, cripples me for life.
